Pomegranate Ginger Mocktail
Ingredients
- 1 cup 100% pomegranate juice
- 1 tsp Honey
- 1 tsp Fresh ginger
- 3 cups Sparkling water, plain
- Pomegranate arils for garnish
Instructions
- Shred fresh ginger to create 1 tsp using a micro plane or cheese grater.
- Add pomegranate juice, ginger, and honey in a large jar with a secure lid (or shaker glass). Shake hard for 30 seconds.
- Pour the pomegranate mixture into a pitcher and top it with sparkling water. Stir to combine.
- Pour into a chilled glass and top with pomegranate arils.
Mocktails are non-alcoholic drinks that are a mixture of juices and other non-alcoholic beverages that resemble a traditional cocktail. Mocktails have been poised as an up-and-coming new food trend for a variety of reasons due to people choosing to be alcohol-free such as mental health concerns, pregnancy, medication interactions, or simply wanting to decrease alcohol consumption. Many names can be used interchangeably for mocktails, such as “zero-proof” or “near beer.” While none of these beverages will provide alcohol or a buzz, there is much to desire from these delicious concoctions.
