After Nine Years of Dedicated Service, Conservation Officer Todd Turner Retires From NHBP

Last Wednesday, March 5, a group of Tribal Members, NHBP staff, and family all celebrated the retirement of Conservation Officer Todd Turner after nearly a decade of service. Turner has been a valued member of NHBP’s law enforcement team since 2017, beginning his service as a police officer. He eventually transferred into the role of conservation officer, where he continued to serve our community with dedication.

A large group gathered to wish Turner well and to hear heartfelt remarks from his team, including Police Chief Chris Mandoka, Sergeant Melvin Taylor, and Conservation Sergeant Ryan Pedley. Turner was also joined by his family for the celebration, which included his grandson, Henry.

While the group enjoyed cake and each other’s company, attendees had the opportunity to write their well‑wishes for Turner on a printed copy of Sgt. Pedley’s speech. The Environmental Department also gifted Turner a new fishing rod, honoring his talent as an angler and his love for fishing.

The delicious retirement cake!

NHBP extends sincere gratitude to Turner for his years of service to The Tribe and wish him all the best as he begins this next retirement chapter of his life. Kche Migwéch {a big thank you}, Todd Turner!
